![]() While Halo and Destiny 2 are unaffiliated, fans believe a potential crossover could be part of the upcoming 30th-anniversary DLC. Originally developed by Bungie, the Halo franchise remained with Microsoft after Bungie split from the company in 2009, leaving the series in the hands of 343 Industries. Ahead of Destiny's official 30th anniversary DLC, which will be one of the biggest Destiny 2 updates to date, there has been rampant speculation as to whether or not there will be any form of official crossover between Bungie's current sci-fi shooter franchise and Halo, which recently celebrated its own 20th anniversary. A new mod for Hal0 3has added weapons from Destiny 2to Master Chief's arsenal, bringing together two of the biggest shooters in the gaming sphere. Fans of both games are currently celebrating the franchises thanks to the recent release of Halo Infinite's multiplayer, and the upcoming Bungie 30th-anniversary event.
